Undergraduate Careers

We offer a range of 3-month summer internships to students looking to gain career experience during the summer break.

With a high proportion of our interns coming back into graduate roles, we really do invest in our graduates, and from day one you will be provided with a personal development plan to aid your progression and learning, as well as playing a large role in your team along the way.

  • SOFTWARE / ELECTRONICS

    / Firmware design of motor controllers.

    / Dyno testing and control optimisation.

    / Electronic design of inverters & DC/DC converters.

  • SIMULATIONS ENGINEER

    / Dyno testing, data acquisition & data analysis.

    / Magnetic modelling and motor design.

    / MATLAB/Simulink modelling for motors, inverters and vehicles.

  • MATERIALS ENGINEER

    / Materials selection & test.

    /Materials modelling & optimisation.

    /Productionisation and test of joining techniques.

  • MECHANICAL ENGINEER

    / Mechanical design.

    / Stress, modal & acoustic analysis.

    / Thermal analysis on motors and inverters.

  • MANUFACTURING ENGINEER

    / Manufacturing process optimisation.

    / Design & conduct research programs; applying knowledge of product design, testing, assembly, tooling & materials.

    / Gain an understanding of FMEAs, 8Ds, and robust engineering practices.

  • TEST / VALIDATION

    / Executing axial flux electric motor testing.

    / Data analysis and test reporting.

    / Hands-on test rig assembly.
